Aggie STEM 2026 AI + Lesson Study Immersive PD

June 21–27, 2026 • Residential at ASSC

Supercharge your STEM teaching with a week focused on leveraging AI within a Lesson Study cycle. Across four intensive instructional days and a culminating Capstone Lesson Demonstration, you’ll design, test, and refine TEKS-aligned, project-based learning that’s ready for your classroom.

Who It’s For

K–12 STEM educators, coaches, and leaders eager to integrate AI tools into planning, instruction, assessment, and reflection within a collaborative Lesson Study framework.

What You’ll Do

  • Integrate AI purposefully for lesson design, differentiation, feedback, assessment, and data-informed reflection.
  • Run a complete Lesson Study cycle: goal setting → plan → teach/observe → analyze → revise.
  • Align to TEKS and PBL while maintaining rigor, equity, and student agency.
  • Build reusable assets: prompt libraries, rubrics, observation templates, and implementation checklists.

Week at a Glance

  • Sunday (June 21): Check-in, welcome, and team formation
  • Mon–Thu (4 Instructional Days):
    • Day 1: AI foundations for STEM & Lesson Study setup
    • Day 2: TEKS-aligned planning with AI; scaffolds & UDL
    • Day 3: Assessment, feedback, and data analysis with AI
    • Day 4: Rehearsal, peer review, and revision protocols
  • Friday (Capstone Day): Public Lesson Demonstration with peer observation, evidence collection, and debrief
  • Saturday (June 27): Optional coaching clinics & departure

What are Aggie STEM Overnight camps?

Aggie STEM Camps are one-week camps designed to encourage the exploration of STEM-focused project-based learning (PBL). Aggie STEM Summer camps are held at Texas A&M University in College Station. Camps are geared towards students entering 6th through 12th grade in the Fall of 2026. Aggie STEM campers are typically advanced students who reflect the core values of Texas A&M University and have a strong interest in STEM related fields. Registration is on a first-come basis.

New classes are offered every summer season for both High school and Junior high camps based on the availability of our STEM instructors. Each summer has a new camp theme, with new PBL (project-based learning) STEM classes campers are sure to enjoy.

What are Aggie STEM Elementary Day camps?

Aggie STEM Elementary Day Camps are Monday-Friday camps designed to encourage the exploration of STEM-focused project-based learning (PBL). Aggie STEM Summer camps are held at Texas A&M University in College Station. Camps are geared towards students entering 3rd through 5th grade in the Fall of 2026. Registration is on a first-come basis.

New classes are offered every summer season for Elementary students based on the availability of our STEM instructors. Each summer has a new camp theme, with new PBL (project-based learning) STEM classes campers are sure to enjoy.

*All 4 weeks of Day Camp will follow the same schedule and curriculum. 

Exploring scientific solutions to real world problems

Our camps are led by STEM professionals and A&M faculty. While Aggie STEM camp has a heavy focus on promoting STEM learning, it’s still a summer camp with plenty of fun activities to create lasting memories and connections.

Overnight Camp details

Aggie STEM Overnight Camps are a 6-day/6-night program at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas for incoming 6-12th grade students. All camps provide food and lodging. A variety of meals and snacks are provided to support all dietary needs and restrictions. All campers will receive a private room with shared common areas and the option to select a roommate preference when registering. Tuition for middle grade camp is $1499 and tuition for high school camp is $1699. Registration fees and deposits are nonrefundable but are transferrable to other Aggie STEM sponsored camp weeks.

Day Camp details

Aggie STEM Day Camps are a 5-day program at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas for incoming 3rd-5th grade students. Day Camps provide snacks and a T-shirt, but campers are required to bring a packed lunch each day. Tuition for Day camps is $425 with a required $75 deposit. Registration fees and deposits are nonrefundable but are transferrable to other Aggie STEM sponsored camp weeks.

FAQs

For safety reasons, we do not allow family members to visit for the duration of camps. Once a camper is checked in, they are under Aggie STEM staff supervision until an approved delegate checks them out.

Some classes over the summer require our campers to use electronic devices. Campers are recommended to bring their own laptop devices at their own discretion. Aggie STEM is not responsible for damaged or lost devices.

Yes, it is okay. However, we only allow campers to be checked out during specific time frames throughout the camp week. Make sure you email aggiestem@tamu.edu stating your request.

Yes, we do have a limited number of need-based partial scholarships available each year. Aggie STEM will not be awarding any full scholarships for the 2026 camp season. The scholarship application will be included in the online registration process.
