Donation in honor of James B. Kelly

James Burton Kelly was the true embodiment of what it means to be an Aggie. His generosity and selflessness was displayed in every one of his actions. He constantly devoted himself to A&M and contributed to the STEM program. James has and forever will be a fightin Texas Aggie.

Mr. Kelly annually gave the gift of camp to academically talented children who were unable to attend camp because of financial reasons. Your donation will be used to continue his legacy and his tradition of giving back to the community while supporting his beloved institution Texas A&M University. Thank you notes will be sent to all donors acknowledging their gift and the Kelly family will receive a note acknowledging the total donated and list of donors.

Game Worlds: Coding Serious Games that Explore Science and Technology

Dates: June 14-20, 2020

Price: $2,023.65

Ages: 13-18

The 11th annual Aggie STEM Summer Camps, partnering with Game Worlds, provides coding experiences and STEM education for middle and high school students. During the program students will develop a Serious Game to educate players on a topic of their choice in science, technology, engineering, or math. They’ll work with real world developers to code their own piece of interactive media, incorporating AI, design thinking, and computer science skills. They’ll have an opportunity to research their STEM field, create the graphics, complex systems, sound engineering, and business plan for their Serious Game. At the end of the week, the student projects will be published online and showcased.

In addition to over 40 hours of game development lab, students will explore Aggie activities around the campus including tours, team building and daily social activities. Registration is now open.

Registration implies acknowledgement and agreement to student participation in online surveys and potential interviews for Aggie STEM research and consent for use of pictures for promotional purposes. Cancellation Policy: Aggie STEM has a no refund policy for participant cancellation for all camps. The camps may be cancelled without prior notice due to enrollment numbers. If a camp is cancelled, paid participants will have the choice of a full refund or to transfer into another open enrollment camp.
